Finally Home Program supporting pet rescue

The Finally Home Program

Inspired by the pets who’ve waited the longest for a home, this program celebrates new beginnings, for both people and pets.

With every home closing, together we help a pet find theirs. I’ll sponsor a pet adoption or make a donation in your name to a rescue or shelter of your choice, plus include a welcome gift basket of essentials and treats.

If you refer a friend who buys or sells a home, you’ll also get to choose a pet adoption or donation; doubling the impact and the joy of helping another pet find home.

It’s a small way to give back, helping every new chapter begin with stability, security, and love.

How It Works

Close on a home — When you buy or sell a home with me, you can choose to sponsor a pet adoption or make a donation to any rescue or shelter in the U.S.

Adoption sponsorship or donation — The sponsorship or donation is made directly to the rescue or shelter once the adoption or organization is confirmed.

Enjoy your welcome gift basket — You’ll receive a pet starter kit with quality supplies to help your new family member settle in comfortably.

Refer a friend, help two pets — When your referral results in a home closing, you’ll also get to choose a pet adoption or donation.

Returning clients — Past clients who choose to work with me again receive a special thank-you rate as appreciation for continuing to trust me with their real-estate journey.

Program FAQs
What kinds of pets are included?

Any kind! While many adoptions involve dogs or cats, your sponsorship can go toward any companion animal available through a legitimate rescue or shelter, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, reptiles, mini pigs, or even horses. The goal is simply to help a pet in need find a safe and loving home.

Does the rescue or shelter need to be a nonprofit?

Not necessarily. The organization doesn’t have to be a registered nonprofit, but it must be a legitimate rescue or shelter that operates for the welfare of animals. Sponsorships cannot be used for adoptions through breeders, pet stores, or private rehoming situations such as accidental litters.

Does the rescue or shelter have to be in Utah?

No. You can choose any licensed rescue or shelter anywhere in the United States.

Do I have to adopt the pet myself?

Not at all. You can gift your sponsored adoption to anyone ready to welcome a pet into their home such as a friend, family member, or coworker.

What if I already have pets?

That’s perfectly fine! You can still help another animal by gifting your sponsored adoption or donation to someone else.

When does the adoption or donation need to happen?

It should be completed within 180 days (six months) of your home closing date. That gives sufficient time for you or your chosen adopter to connect with the right rescue or shelter.

What does the welcome gift basket include?

Each basket includes a comfy bed, food, treats, toys, and essentials to help your new pet (or a friend’s) settle in comfortably.
